A concentrated nose of plum and black cherry that is joined by blackberry with gentle cedar spice and undergrowth. The wine has enjoyed some generous oak treatment that has given a supple, silken texture with ripe plum and dark cherry lifted by cigar box characters on the mid palate; bitter edged dark chocolate adds another layer of interest. There is a sweetness of spice and generous black fruits to finish.
