A glossy red to purple hue in the glass, the nose shows raspberry and redcurrant fruit with gentle graphite and spice. There is a briar and earth aspect to the continuation of redcurrant and just ripe plum, combining with drying, earthen tannins it gives the wine a more savoury disposition; you can tell there is some oak on the mid palate that softens things but the finish is long and tightly held with fresh earth and dark berry fruits. Will reward time.
