The grapes were sourced from the Con Mara Vineyard in the Alpine Valley and the wine produced at Billy Button. A medium red hue in the glass, the nose has cool climate herbaceous tones that are met in equal measure by dark cherry, plum and dry spice. Oak has impact with a sheath of vanillin richness before pepper and clove combine with plum on the mid palate. Tannins are fine and do well to frame drying black fruits and cedar on the finish.
