2018 Honeywood Estate Margaret River Shiraz

A classy release at a generous price point from Juniper Estate. The wine enjoys the graphite and black fruited characters that comes from the region, but shows considered use of oak that adds texture and suppleness to the wine. On the nose there is a floral lift to blackberry and red cherry fruit that flows into a medium bodied palate that enjoys a touch of pepper and herbs. The finish is embellished by subtle influence of French oak with driving dark fruits. Will enjoy short to medium term cellaring.
