2018 Huntington Estate Shiraz

A deep red that still has some purple hues towards the rim; the nose has deep plum and blackberry fruit with an earthen savouriness and some reductiveness that gives more of a cured meat character. The palate is medium bodied with a suppleness of glossy black fruits that enjoy a generous vanillin thread from some new oak. The savoury elements seen on the nose show themselves on the mid palate with some bitter dark chocolate, touch of olive and cured meats. The finish has good length and the wine will be sure to age.
