A deep red with purple hues and a nose that holds true to its McLaren Vale roots with plum and blackberry fruits lifted by unsweetened chocolate. The palate is well proportioned with a sweetness of dark berry fruits that fill the mouth, tannins are derived from both fruit and oak with the oak influence giving spice before the finish takes on cooler earthen tones.
