Monumental is a good name for this wine, the nose has lush, generous plum and blackberry fruit that is met by spice laden oak; which if keeping score does win out slightly.
The palate shows some quality fruit that has managed to hold its own against the richer vanillin tones with dark berry fruits enjoying a slight savoury edge and impactful tannins. There is a milk chocolate influence that gives another layer of texture and interest to finish.
