2018 Seville Estate Shiraz

A wine to contemplate, as is the case with many Shiraz from Yarra Valley. This release has been made in more of a Rhône style with a savoury edge to aromatic plum fruit on the nose. Whole bunch has been used to excellent effect and gives the wine earthen spice, providing texture and savoury flare when contrasted with dark berry fruits. There is an understated pepper influence that works in with supple, layered tannins before the finish focuses on plum and blackberry with faint coffee grinds and excellent length.
