A more sweet fruited nose when compared to the Kinship release with ripe blackberry and plum fruit combining with rich oak. The palate has taut acidity and tannin that borderlines on austere with the fruit not there to give balance and mouthfeel. The impact of oak does give a creamy texture but again is at odds with acidity. Might need some time to settle down.
