2019 Moss Brothers Fidium Shiraz

The nose enjoys generous black berry fruits with a generosity of spice and overtones of milk chocolate. The palate shows a layered wine with as much complexity and interest i have seen for a long time in a Margaret River Shiraz. Black fruits have a plushness to them, but are contrasted by a graphite like character that is characteristic of the region. Oak is used to excellent effect and gives a seductive backdrop without overwhelming the fruit. The finish is a mix of black cherry and plum alongside backing spice and lingering cocoa.
