A medium to deep red in the glass, there is a smokiness to the fruit, which focusses on sweet dark cherry and plum The palate has broad strokes of charred oak and non-descript black and blue fruits. There is a touch of bitterness to the fruit and the oak does dominate. Some value for the price, but certainly needs food.
