A medium red in colour, the nose gives earthen plum like fruit with some red liquorice embellishments. The palate has crunch and drive of plum and redcurrant, tannins are fine and take on some earthen influence. There is plenty of acidity to finish, but it isn't at odds with the wines balance and structure; oak gives a sheath of richness.
