The nose sets plum and black cherry fruit against the cedar and understated pepper influence of oak. The palate has good texture with concentrated dark berries supported by drying, wood inspired tannins. The wine does focus more on savoury influence than fruit on the mid palate before a finish sees a return of focused black cherry. Good length and lingering spice.
