A herbaceous and savoury thread sits alongside taut black fruits on the nose. The palate has a fullness to it, but does sit more to the earthen side of the shiraz spectrum with pepper and charcuterie working with plum and black cherry. The influence of oak to finish detracts from the fruit and adds a layer of additional tannin, accentuating the wines savouriness. A few years will be beneficial.
