2023 Hewitson Strawberry Hill Shiraz

This was tasted alongside the Ned & Henry and Mad Hatter Shiraz and it is like this wine took the best from both of those wines, which as standalone wines are excellent. There are the floral, layered red berry fruits you see in the Mad Hatter, but also the beautifully textured tannins and dark chocolate influences in the Ned & Henry. The thing that lifts the wine further is the generous but balanced oak influence that gives confidence and depth. Drinking well as a young wine, but sure to age.
