2020 Clandestine Vineyards Chardonnay

The grapes were sourced from the Wilyabrup region in Margaret River, with the wine aged in 25% new French oak and bottled after 11 months. A striking nose that shows pristine stone fruits with a citrus edge and the unmistakable fine vanillin notes that come from quality new oak. The palate retains its youthful disposition with citrus and taut stone fruits the dominant thread; oak gives a sheath of richness that is counteracted by balanced acidity and ever so faint mealy inputs. Will be sure to enjoy a few years in bottle.
