Pierro bring a twist to the classic WA blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon with a Little Touch of Chardonnay'. It is the inclusion of Chardonnay in the blend that tempers the more mineral and youthful citrus characters that come from the wines primary varietal constituents.
The nose is aromatic and fresh, ample citrus fruit combines with a tropical undertone of passionfruit. The wine shows good texture with a racy acidity contrasted by fuller, softer characters on the mid to back palate. Varietal lanolin and lemon curd are supported by nectarine fruit and a vanillin lift, the finish has an enjoyable interplay between grippy phenolics and pristine acidity.
