This is the second release of Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and the blend enjoys a small addition of Riesling and Gewurztraminer.
A very light yellow with a fleck of green in the glass, the aromatics see lemon curd, orange blossom and background tropical notes.
The palate shows more of the Sauvignon Blanc influence with flowing melon and understated kiwi, the main blend component of semillon comes to the fore on the finish with a taut lemony acidity and textural crunch accentuating the finish.
A masterful blend that benefits from the strengths of both varieties, enjoyable now and the potential to evolve over the next couple of years.
