2013 Logan Weemala Riesling

The Weemala vineyard from which this wine was produced is the name given to Logan's vineyard in Mudgee, with the Weemala range providing an assortment of well priced wines across traditional and lesser known varieties.

The wine itself is a light yellow with a slight green flint in the glass, the nose has fresh citrus flowers, mandarin and lime; on entry there is mandarin iced tea that works well against zesty lime and slatey acidity on the mid to back palate.

The wine finishes with a chalky mouthfeel that contrasts fruit sweetness and the aforementioned acidity, providing a great textural element.

Excellent value, and a unique expression of the variety that shows how good Mudgee can be for the variety.
