Shanahans are based in the Barossa and craft some excellent wines from red grapes, but they also proved with this wine that they can do it from the white varieties as well with Reisling grapes for this wine sourced from a single vineyard in the Eden Valley.
A lightly golden yellow in the glass with lime and crushed rock dominating the nose. The palate is a lemon and lime expression of Eden Valley that's set against a piercingly pure line of acidity, waxy lanolin like richness gives weight to the palate with wet slate and driving length of finger lime to finish.
Delicious now, but will age effortlessly.
