2018 Seville Estate Riesling

A light yellow in colour with a nose that has finger limes and petroleum characters that make it appear older than it is. The palate starts well with lively citrus fruits that border on bickfords lime cordial and a touch of spice, but it falls away quickly with neither the depth of fruit or acidity to continue on the path it initially sets. A well made wine undoubtedly, but potentially a reminder as to why there is not a significant amount of Riesling found in the Yarra.
