There is a gentle smokiness and barrel derived complexity that is backed by driving boysenberry and melon fruits on the nose. The palate bristles with passionfruit with the purity of the fruit providing a wonderful counterpoint to the subtle, leesy input afforded by fermentation in oak and battonage during maturation. The finish shows the fume style with a gentle build of savoury texture and excellent length.
