2021 Carillion Old Grafts Semillon

The Tallavera Grove Vineyard was established from graft material sourced from the historic Braemore Vineyard, which is one of the most iconic vineyards in the Hunter Valley. The wine itself gives a straw yellow in colour, the nose gives lemon curd and lanolin. The palate is approachable with a lemon like citrus thread to underripe fig and nectarine, time on lees has given a distinct creaminess to the wine with a fullness on the mid palate that is pulled back by taut citrus inspired acidity to finish. Some clever winemaking has made this very approachable from day 1.
