Review Detail
2019 Clandestine Vineyards Malbec
Wine Rating
92
Sourced from the Karridale Vineyard in Margaret River, with the wine aged in 2nd and 3rd use French oak for 15 months.
A youthful deep red with purple hues and a glossy nose of rich cherry and generous vanillin spice etched with milk chocolate. The palate is a continuation of the nose with flowing red cherry and plum fruit carried by a sheath of chocolate and spice; tannins are drying but fine and acid is well handled. Excellent length to finish, with grip of tannin and drying fruit. Set to have a long life ahead.
