The pick of the lineup for Star Lane this year. A Merlot with structure and intensity, whilst maintaining a pretty and almost floral disposition.
A medium red in the glass, the nose has faint rose petal notes to bright raspberry and ripe plum. The palate shows a wine that is light on its feet, but backed by fine persistent tannin and acid that is firm but wonderfully balanced. The finish gives some faint spice and earth that will no doubt build with time in bottle. The length is excellent with a juicy, moreishness.
