Deep red to purple in the glass, the nose has well balanced olive, plush plum and complementing rich oak characters.
The palate is ripe and mouth filling with smokey plum, understated blackberry and wispes of spice, a wine to drink over the shorter term based on the difficulties observed in the Yarra Valley during the 2009 vintage.
