Review Detail
2006 Granite Hills Merlot
(Updated: October 07, 2012)
Wine Rating
88
The grapes for this wine were sourced from Heathcote, and the cooler Macedon region, the wine is a dull red in colour, with a briny olive character on the nose.
It is medium bodied and decidedly youthful with good underlying acidity around which dull plum, blackberry and olive characters come to the fore. The finish has acceptable length without great complexity.
