A dark red in colour, from the outset this is a wine that is laden with oak, the nose has concentrated plum and olive fruit that is only just able to overcome the vanillin characters.

The palate shows some excellent fruit with spiced plum , however the oak adds a sweetness that detracts rather than adds to the fruit. The length is very good. This is a polarizing wine, those who love oak will thoroughly enjoy, others will see the quality fruit hiding behind a sheath of oak.
