Review Detail
2013 Helen’s Hill Ingram Road Merlot
Wine Rating
88
This wine has an attractive nose with liquorice and spiced raspberry, on the palate the wine is somewhat flat and lacks depth of fruit , the tannins are firm and frame the finish.
The wine is further evidence of how difficult it is to achieve greatness with Merlot in Victoria, where as a single varietal it is so difficult to get depth of flavour to make a truly complete wine.
