2015 Pertaringa Stage Left Merlot
Wine Rating

92
A deep red to purple in the glass, an attractive and concentrated nose with a few layers when you take a look, there is initial plum and dark cherry fruit before revealing sage and gentle stemmy spice.

Rich plum fruit up front that moves towards dark cherry with tannin and spice influences building in parallel to the fruit taking on more savoury notes. The finish has flashes of eucalypt with drying black fruits.

A top notch Australian Merlot at $22, this wine was a real surprise packet.
