Review Detail
2016 Windowrie The Mill Merlot
Wine Rating
88
There was plenty of winemaking thought that went into this wine to make the most out of the much maligned Merlot grape, the result is a wine with plenty of youthful, juicy fruit and oak spice that will be best enjoyed as a young wine.
A youthful bright red in the glass, the nose gives jubey raspberry and touch of liquorice all sorts.
There is generous cedar spice that dominates the wine with red cherry and raspberry the primary fruit influences, tannins are grainy tannins and work well with balanced acidity.
