2014 Windfall Estate Ivor Reserve Merlot
Wine Rating

96
One of the most profound Merlot’s i have enjoyed from Australian in recent memory, a wine that is worth seeking out.

A nose of blackberry, cedar, cigar box and clay. With time sweeter plum and spice comes out with embellishments of liquorice root.

Medium bodied with a steady build of dark berry fruits that are layered amongst graphic and dark chocolate inspired tannins. Brambly dark fruits engulf the mid palate with a crescendo of drying blackberry before the finish lingers with cigar box like spice that gives a suggestions of richness.
