Review Detail
2017 Aylesbury Estate Waterfall Gully Merlot
Wine Rating
90
The nose has floral and herbaceous tones to violets and plum; some subtle peppery notes are somewhere in the background if you look hard. The herbaceous thread defines the wine and gives a taut, flowing structure. There is a a touch of iodine and leather to dark berry fruits and oak gives cedar to chalky tannins. The wine carries it’s 15% alcohol well and won’t disappoint at the price.
