Review Detail

2005 Long Gully Estate Reserve Merlot
Wine Rating

90
Dark red in colour turning a lighter hue towards the rim of the glass. The nose is not overly expressive but does display some nice plum and olive characters.

The palate is medium bodied and has an impressive line up of flavours ranging from plum and blackberry to a hint of pepper and olives. The finish shows fine tannins and subtle oak integration

The wine is drinking in it's peak now and over the next couple of years.
