Review Detail
Nebbiolo

2010 Paolo Scavino Barolo
Wine Rating
92
A light to medium red hue in the glass, the wine required a long decant before it started to show rose petal and tar with background notes of black jellybean. Over time the nose continued to evolve getting more drying black cherry and savoury nuances.
The palate is well formed with drying, fine, mouth coating tannins at it’s core. There is a continuation of the liqourice thread seen on the nose with black cherry and earth building towards a long savoury finish. Hide this in the recesses of your cellar for another 5 + years to get the most out of it !
