Wine Rating

This wine is humming along given the components of the blend and the fact it's almost a 17 years old.
A mature red bricking towards the rim, this must have been a tannic beast in it’s youth because it has great structure with meaty and leather notes joining the dark plum and grainy olive on the palate. Firm drying tannins with an earthy aspect and leather laden dark fruits to finish, ready to drink now.
If you do track this wine down be careful as i believe that a large proportion of the vintage was purchased as part of wine scheme in the early 2000’s that is now defunct, with some wine potentially not stored in ideal conditions.
