2011 Minervois Rouge La Nine Jean-Baptiste Senat
Wine Rating
88
A grenache dominant blend that shows minimal oak and presents with a lovely bright purple hue in the glass.
The nose is best described as grapey which seems a little obvious, however due to the minimal winemaking intervention it is the most appropriate descriptor, however there is also some plum characters.
The palate is a little simple with dashes of cherry cola, grape skins and spicy notes.
The finish is fruit driven with minimal contast to the flavours on the palate
