2013 Shadowfax Minnow

A blend of Carignan, Mataro, Cinsault, Grenache and Mondeuse Noir, this wine provides a real point of difference in the shadowfax range, the wine was produced using whole bunch open ferments, and matured in old oak for approximately 8 months.

The wine gives a nose of old leather, tilled earth and brighter red berry fruits.

The palate treads a similar path to the nose with an underlying earthiness through fine tannins and supporting acidity. The fruit is meaty, yet still youthful and the wine will continue to improve over the short term.
