2016 Angullong Fossil Hill Barbera

A trailblazer in the planting of ’non-traditional’ grape varieties in the Orange region, Angullong is a consistently strong producer with their wines providing great quality and value.

A vibrant red in the glass with a wonderfully aromatic nose of red cherry, toffee apple and attractive array of spice that is unique as it is enjoyable.

On the palate oak has a dominant impact, but gives a prettiness and is well integrated with dark cherry fruits that are influenced by an earthen aspect that builds across the palate. There is a juicy line of acidity to finish but it works amongst a mix of red fruits and chocolate.

The wine works well with food and will enjoy time in the cellar.
