An inky dark red in the glass with aromatics of black cherry, leather and the faintest aspect of mint.
In true Lagrein fashion the wine is drying with a leathery edge to it; it's coursing with black cherry and there is aa vanillin thread gives richness to the more savoury aspects of the wine. It will live for a long time and at the price it is well worth seeking out.
