2018 After Five Wine Co Montepulciano

Produced from winemakers Craig Stansborough’s own vineyard that sits at an elevation of 253 m in the Williamstown sub region of the Barossa. There is so much to like about this wine, it opens with cherry and plum fruits set against bracken and dried herbs with a subtle oak impact.

Thee palate has a backdrop of unsweetened liquorice and a drying core of fine tannins that are laced with dark cherry and fresh earth. There is drive and energy to the mid palate with generosity of red berry fruit before the finish that is lifted with some cocoa and spice.
