Pinot Meunier is a mutation of Pinot Noir, with the wine fermented on skins for three weeks prior to ageing in French Oak. A pretty candy red colour in the glass that shows its youth. The nose gives taut red cherry with a touch of bramble and kirsch. The palate is lively and has good balance between primary red berry fruits, structurally fine tannins and acid with some more savoury notes from time on skins. Showing well now, but will have some tricks up its sleeve over the coming few years.
