This is a fun wine to say and even better to drink !
The grapes were sourced from the Shelmerdine Vineyard in Nagambie and it's safe to say this its the first Bastardo (or Trousseau) I have enjoyed. The wine is a light to medium red in colour and the nose is framed by crunchy red cherry fruits that have both herbs and earth alongside a faint floral richness. The palate is centred around red cherry and generous strawberry fruits that fill the mouth and enjoy a slow march of tannin and acid that gives dimension and considerable depth. The influence of strawberry and cherry fruits lingers long after the final sip. There is so much to like here.
