2020 Terre a Terre Crayeres Vineyard Cabernet Franc

A blend of 92% Cabernet Franc and 8% Shiraz, the wine was fermented with 30% whole bunches before being stored in tank for malolactic fermentation and ageing in small format oak (30% new) for 12 months. A little under 4,000 bottles produced.

Fruit driven aromatics of raspberry and wild cherry that meets crushed gravel on the nose, the palate is framed by strawberry compote with interjections of brown spice and chocolate laced tannins. There is an enjoyably savoury texture to finish reminiscent of cherry pip before the long black fruited finish.
