2012 Freeman Vineyards Rondo Rondinella Rose
Wine Rating

92
This wine comes from the Hilltops region in New South Wales and is produced from the Rondinella grape typically found in Northern Italy.

The wine has a lovely salmon to burnt orange colour, with the nose showing attractive red berries with a slight savoury twist.

The palate is layered and complex with savoury strawberry fruits that are contrasted by a nervy acidity and dusty spices. The wine has wonderful depth, with the slightest touch of marmalade lingering on the drying red fruited finish.

The 2012 release will reward a couple of years in the cellar, and is a great option for those that like a little more depth in their rose.
