Review Detail
2012 Yalumba Galway Vintage Malbec
Wine Rating
89
A deep yet glossy dark red hue in the glass, attractive nose of cassis and deeper plum fruits; cedary oak is in the background and plays a subtle part.
The palate is textural with a savoury core, there is brighter blackberry fruits initially, tannins are grainy and leathery with a liquorice aspect and cranberry like twang to finish. This wine will drink well over the short to medium term.
