Cabernet Franc, it’s too often a bit player as part of a blend. As a stand alone variety it has so much to offer with the typical contrast it strikes between a characteristic herbaceous flare and richer dark fruit characters.

Floral violets and sweet plum combine with blackberry bud and touches of tobacco and smoke on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with fine, drying tannins working amongst black fruits and oak induced spice. Acidity is handled well and adds a crunchy moreish character to the wine that both brings you back for another sip, and sets it up for some decent time in the cellar.
