Review Detail

2016 Purple Hands Mataro Grenache Shiraz
Wine Rating

93
A blend of 52% of Mataro, 26% Grenache and 22% Shiraz that throws a vibrant red to purple hue in the glass. The nose is youthful but serious and showcases raspberry, plum and dark cherry fruit with understated charcuterie notes.

The palate is silky but maintains plenty of backbone, there is flowing black cherry with oak giving a veneer of richness with earthen aspects of dark berry fruits lingering to finish.

Delicious now but will age for at least a decade.
