2017 Eldridge Estate PTG
Wine Rating

93
The PTG is a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir and shows a beautiful bright, vibrant red in the glass. The nose gives lifted red cherry fruit, but it is layers of savoury nuance that has got me excited. There are herbs, earth and stemmy like sweetness all in one go.

The palate is anything but simple, it does have the vibrancy and character of Bourgogne Passe-Tout-Grains, but there is some real substance to the fruit with generous mouthfeel that’s supported by fine but impactful tannins, acidity is present but gives good lines. The finish has a touch of blood orange, with some grip and a lingering finish of tart red cherry.

You can see why this is a crowd pleaser.
