The nose gives a touch of varnish to dark cherry fruit, with a flicker of baking spice. The palate has a chalky backbone of acidity with fine tannins that have a leather and milk chocolate note. The palate continues the thread of cherry fruit with a pepperiness that adds complexity. The finish is long, drying and will continue to open up over the shorter term.
